Patrick Beverley is now available for any takers…any takers, I said. No? No one?

Yes, Pat Bev to the Phoenix Suns might be an option worth considering. And currently, the odds say that Beverely, who last played in the NBA with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2024.

It’s something to think about. Adding Pat Bev. Not for his play, but for his presence in the locker room. He could push the Suns and give them a much-needed spark.

His energy, intensity, and veteran leadership might be exactly what this team needs as they navigate the grind of the season. Even if his on-court contributions are limited, his voice and competitive fire could help set the tone for a team still searching for its identity.

The Suns, much like last season, are searching for a spark—something to get their heads right and bring back the attitude that’s missing on the court.

Pat Bev might be that guy, the only realistic option to help steer this team in a better direction. Suns fans need to feel confident that this squad will bring energy and effort on both ends of the floor for all 48 minutes, and right now, that assurance is lacking.

Because at the moment, there isn’t a consistent fight in the Suns. I know it. You know it. And with Jimmy Butler now on the Golden State Warriors, maybe Pat Bev is our best and only hope to inject some much-needed grit into this team. Or is it “dog”? “Dogg”? “Dawg”? Either way, Phoenix needs some of it. Desperately.

How are you feeling when it comes to Pat Bev in a Suns uniform?

Kevin Durant shuts down Ryan Dunn’s trash talk ahead of NBA All-Star matchup.

Kevin Durant had exactly the right silencer when Ryan Dunn brought some trash talk into his All-Star press conference ahead of the Phoenix Suns teammates matching up on Sunday.

Dunn, after his team came out on top of the Rising Stars Challenge on Friday, will face off against Durant’s Team Shaq in the four-team All-Star Game tournament, and the rook took his scouting duties to Durant’s press availability on Saturday.

“Uh, K? Question for you,” Dunn said from a reporter’s spot before asking about the upcoming matchup.

“I’m locked in on the scouting report,” Durant responded. “Coach told me I was guarding you when we play on Sunday, so I’m looking forward to that.”

“In training camp, you know what happened at training camp,” Dunn retorted.

“I pretty much dominated training camp, and coach named me as a captain ’cause I was dominating,” Durant interrupted. “So I look forward to doing the same thing against you on tomorrow night.”

Seemingly defeated, Dunn let out an, “Alright, see you tomorrow night.”

Durant has played in 11 All-Star games, averaging 24.4 points on 53.9% shooting and 36.2% from three, but this will be his first time playing in a new, four-team format.

“I hate it. Absolutely hate it. Terrible,” Durant said when the league announced the plan in December, though he quickly noted that his initial reaction could have been worded differently.

There are four teams in the tournament: three teams picked by Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley from the pool of 24 All-Stars, and the fourth is Dunn’s team that won the Rising Stars event that will be coached by Candace Parker.

Durant enters the game on fire behind a pair of 30-point efforts, while Dunn was struggling to get back to full strength after an ankle injury in Phoenix’s final games before the break.

The four-team tournament is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. MST on Sunday and will be broadcast on TNT and truTV from the Chase Center in San Francisco.
