Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green and FS1 analyst Christ Broussard have been getting crushed by NBA fans on Thursday.

Green made some comments about New York Knicks star Karl Anthony-Towns after he missed Tuesday’s game against the Golden State Warriors.

He missed the game due to “personal reasons,” but Green wasn’t buying it, saying on his podcast that he avoided the game because he didn’t want to see Jimmy Butler.

“That was a big game for us, and obviously they didn’t have KAT,” Green said. “Some would say he didn’t play because Jimmy was in the building. I don’t know.”

Green was completely wrong since KAT’s girlfriend, Jordyn Woods, was in mourning after her friend died of breast cancer.

FS1’s Chris Broussard saw what Green said and decided to discuss it during Thursday’s “First Things First” on FS1, giving credence to Green’s theory. Fans aren’t thrilled about it.

“This was posted an hr ago. Meanwhile, Jordyn Woods posted 6 hours ago the reason why. Someone on this show should’ve taken a few minutes to check out the facts before saying something stupid like this,” one tweet read.

“This is the problem with media today. If there is a rumor, isn’t it the job of a reporter/journalist like Chris Broussard to find out if the truth? Instead, they are drawing up narratives for ratings,” another tweet read.

“Chris Broussard is a journalist. If he had investigated rather than just repeated what Draymond said, he would have learned the reason why KAT missed the game,” another fan tweeted.

“Shame on Draymond. And I expected better from someone like Chris Broussard. Maybe tomorrow we can try to be better,” another tweet read.

“This is particularly disgusting by Draymond, and by Broussard for repeating it,” another fan tweeted.

We’ll see if Broussard owns up to his mistake after the real reason for KAT’s absence was revealed.
