Spencer Pratt has made it clear that he’s not happy with Alex Cooper, the host of the popular podcast *Call Her Daddy*.
The reality star recently aired his grievances against the podcaster
after she allegedly refused to promote his wife Heidi Montag’s song, a decision that left Pratt feeling hurt and frustrated.
The drama began after Pratt and Montag, who lost their home in the recent California wildfires, turned to social media to raise funds.
They hoped that Montag’s music could help generate support during this challenging time.
Spencer shared with Bethenny Frankel during a TikTok Live session that he personally reached out to Cooper, asking her to post Montag’s song to her platform in order to gain more visibility and support.
Pratt also messaged Cooper’s husband, Matt Kaplan, in an effort to secure a promotional post for the song.
“I asked [Alex] to post the song, and I texted her husband [Matt Kaplan] and I was like, ‘Hey, it would really help,’” Pratt explained. Despite his repeated attempts to reach out and tag Cooper on social media, he claimed that she did not respond in a way that he expected. Eventually, Cooper did respond but not with the support Pratt was hoping for. “She wrote to me, ‘We have a lot of people displaced [from the fires] at our house,’” Pratt shared. However, this explanation only seemed to fuel his frustration.
Pratt, 41, didn’t hold back during the live session, stating that he now has “beef” with Cooper. He also compared her response to that of Sofia Franklyn, Cooper’s former *Call Her Daddy* co-host. Unlike Cooper, Franklyn—who now hosts her own podcast, *Sofia with an F*—actively supported Montag’s music by posting a dance video to help promote it.
“Now I ride with Sofia with an F, that’s my team now,” Pratt said, clearly expressing his preference for Franklyn over Cooper. He went on to criticize Cooper further, claiming that she was the “only one” who didn’t help Montag’s efforts. “Respectfully, if I keep my platform, and I keep being an A-list, rich celebrity, she’s so [f–cked],” Pratt remarked, implying that Cooper’s lack of support could harm her career. He even went as far as to place Cooper at the top of his “hit list,” a comment that likely only heightened the tension between the two.
While Pratt’s accusations have yet to be addressed by Cooper or her representatives, he has made it clear that he holds a grudge over the situation. In his mind, Cooper’s refusal to support Montag’s music was a personal betrayal. This rift is particularly striking, given the fact that both Cooper and Pratt are prominent figures in the world of media and entertainment.
Despite the controversy surrounding Cooper, Montag’s music has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity. With Pratt’s push on social media and the support of fans, including high-profile figures like Emily Ratajkowski and Flavor Flav, Montag’s 2010 album *Superficial* reached No. 1 on the iTunes charts. The outpouring of support from stars and fans alike has been a huge boost for the couple, helping them raise money to recover from the devastating fire that destroyed their Pacific Palisades home.
In addition to the success of Montag’s album, Pratt shared that they’ve also found a way to monetize their TikTok presence. “I made, like, $4,000 on TikTok this week,” Pratt said. However, the bigger payout came from TikTok Live, where viewers can directly donate money. Pratt claimed that during one TikTok Live session, he and Montag earned approximately $20,000.
Despite the positive impact of these efforts, Pratt has been criticized for making a significant amount of money following the tragedy. In response to the backlash, he defended the couple’s fundraising activities, dismissing critics as “hater people trolling.” Pratt’s comments also suggest that he doesn’t view himself and Montag as “rich celebrities” in the eyes of those who are truly in need, a sentiment that is meant to deflect the negative reactions to their fundraising.
While it remains to be seen whether Cooper will address the situation or issue an apology, Spencer Pratt’s “beef” with the *Call Her Daddy* host is far from over. As the drama unfolds, it’s clear that the reality star is determined to support his wife’s music career and make sure that their efforts in the face of adversity are not ignored.
