The only son of the late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin has an estimated net worth of $5 million as of 2025, according to Woman’s Day.

It comes as Irwin , 21, has recently pivoted his career from upholding his family’s legacy as the face of Australia Zoo to high profile TV roles, including on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here and Dancing With The Stars in the US.

His precise salary for hosting I’m A Celebrity alongside Julia Morris remains undisclosed; however Irwin alongside his Dancing With The Stars crew could receive US $125,000 (AUD $188,921.25) for the first two weeks of the show.

That figure could then soar to $295,000 and possibly as high as $400,000.

Robert has also secured numerous paid partnerships, including a recent viral shoot for Bonds Australia’s “Made for Down Under” campaign.

In April, the wildlife warrior made headlines as he stripped down to his Bonds briefs and posed with pythons and other reptiles.

The campaign generated $8 million in media impact value in its first week, highlighting Robert’s value as a brand ambassador.

It comes after Steve Irwin left a life insurance policy of just $200,000 to his children, Bindi and Robert after his death from his chest being punctured by a stingray barb in 2006, according to realestate.com.au.

The publication in August reported “most” of the conservation’s wealth was tied up in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland’s vast Australia Zoo, which Bindi and her brother “will no doubt own one day”.

In 2024, Steve’s widow Terri, 61, told the Australian Financial Review just how precarious a position the family was left in following his death.

“Everything was reinvested into conservation work,” Terri said.

“I was in debt… and Steve’s life insurance, I think, was the sum total of $200,000, which didn’t even cover half of one week’s payroll.”

She said Steve’s will was “ironclad” – not allowing “some crazy person (to) sweep in from some distant family connection and try to take everything”.

Steve died on September 4, 2006, while filming the documentary series “Ocean’s Deadliest” at Batt Reef, near Port Douglas, Queensland.

He cultivated a loyal global following through his TV series The Crocodile Hunter and the movie The Crocodile Hunter: Collision Course.

The series grossed an impressive $33.4 million on a $12 million budget upon its release in 2002.
