“We got along from day dot like a house on fire.”

Farmer Corey may have been the last to confess his love on the 2025 season of Farmer Wants A Wife, but Keeley was clearly the one from day one.

The Biloela-based farmer built a strong connection with optometrist Keeley, and fans couldn’t help but notice their potential from their very first interaction.

In an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle, Corey and Keeley revealed large parts of their love story were cut.

“We got along from day dot like a house on fire, and they just didn’t show any of the positive stuff, particularly toward the end,” Keeley said.

“It must have been too obvious for them to not give away the scent of us, I don’t know, but it’s very disheartening when you put a lot of effort in,” Corey added.

The lovebirds faced many obstacles while chasing their happily ever after. One challenge was fellow contestant Chloe who was also vying for Corey’s heart.

It shocked fans mid-season when Corey gifted the runner-up a red dress during a date. But now, the farmer has claimed the gift was “against my will.”

“I protested and didn’t want to give that dress,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle. “I’ve never bought a dress in my life.”

“It was very hard to sit there and watch that, more so for Keeley, because they’re trying to blow up and emphasise things that weren’t real.”

Distance was also a major issue, as Corey didn’t want to be in a long-distance relationship. But alas, it was a risk the farmer was willing to take.

“It’s definitely going to be a risk. However, I think that risk will be worth it. I feel as though I can be my true authentic self when I’m around you,” he said in his final decision.

“Keeley, it makes me very happy to say that I feel like I’m falling in love with you.”

It may have taken a few months, but Keeley is now living the peaceful farm life in Biloela.

“Keeley’s made the move up to the farm and she’s settled in really well,” Corey said in an exclusive interview with TV WEEK. “She’s been up here for a little while now and life’s been really good.”

In a video shared to Instagram, Keeley shared snippets of their life on the farm including working, bowling, swimming, and lots of cows!

“Corey is one of the most genuine, gentle and considerate people that I know. He is the embodiment of a ‘heart of gold’. Despite his constantly terrible Dad jokes, Corey’s laugh can fill the room and make you feel at ease at the same time. Viewers missed out on getting to know some of the most beautiful things about Corey, but one thing I can attest to is how much care and love he has for everyone around him,” she captioned the video.

“Corey put in an enormous amount of effort to visit me regularly in Merimbula NSW where I was working, before I could make the move, and that speaks volumes to me. He also spent time with all of my family and friends and fit in like the missing piece of the puzzle (never a dull moment!).

“It is an absolute honour to love you Corey, in other words, you were worth the hard yards! 😂❤️” she concluded.
