THEY HAVE SUSPECTS IN MIND!? | LILLY AND JACK SULLIVAN
Jack and Lily are still missing, and an update came through last night from the RCMP detailing exactly what they have been doing over the past couple of weeks.
Many were disappointed that there were no searches taking place for the children last weekend, but police have not yet identified any new search area for now. Judging from last night’s update, it seems this investigation has taken a turn, and they are now focusing on foul play.
The police have collected hundreds of hours of video from areas surrounding Lanston Station, including from along Gerich Road between April 28th and May 2nd, after a public appeal for footage. Investigators have received 488 tips and have extensively searched the Sullivan home grounds, nearby septic systems, wells, mine shafts, and culverts. No new search areas have been identified as a direct result of these efforts.
That news came as a relief for those who kept wanting to know how thorough the search was at the home itself. I would say: pretty thorough. I would have liked to know whether cadaver dogs were used on and around the property, but there’s been no word on that.
That was just a general update. However, an RCMP staff sergeant spoke out to the media, and what he had to say convinced me that they are looking at people close to the children — but won’t name them as persons of interest because it would jeopardize the case.
He said, “You don’t do polygraph tests and waste that resource on people. Those are people they suspect might be involved in some way, or for whatever reason, are being dishonest.”
By Daniel’s own words, he was given a polygraph test. If they didn’t suspect he was hiding something, I don’t think they would have wasted that resource on him — even though he asked for one.
Fifty-four people have been interviewed already, and hundreds of tips have come in. My main concern regarding the police in this case is that I feel they treated the disappearance of Jack and Lily as a case where two little kids wandered into the woods and got lost — and they didn’t investigate foul play right away. During that time, important evidence could have been lost or contaminated.
