The Block fans have been left divided after Foreman Dan failed to help team Han and Can with a significant issue in Wednesday night’s episode. The couple have seemingly faced problem after problem on the show in the last week and a half, and things haven’t been improving, sadly.

This time, the girls’ plywood was delivered to the wrong house and left in the rain, making it unusable for under their floorboards. Many fans were left disappointed that Dan simply looked at the plywood instead of helping them cover it from the rain while they were out on a challenge.

“So, these sheets here, these go underneath the girls’ floorboards. We can’t have moisture in them, because then it’ll soak up into the floorboards and make them all cup,” Dan told the cameras as he watched the boards get soaked. “Now, already we were struggling to find enough for this week, of these tongue and groove plywood floors.

“They’ve been in the rain for hours. I don’t know how many of them are damaged. It looks like there’s going to be a lot of them. So, right now, the girls won’t be getting their floorboards down.

“I don’t know where Han is now, but her priority is to get these out, try and dry them out before tomorrow.”

The next morning, however, the girls are in luck, because Bunnings arrives with another delivery of dry sheets for them to use.

Many fans were left fuming for the girls that Dan wouldn’t do anything about their boards while they were out at a challenge, with one fan writing, “So the girls are out on a challenge that they HAVE to attend. Dan is the site foreman while flooring is delivered, and he just lets it sit out in the rain where he has allowed it to be delivered.

“The way I look at it, he is either trying to create drama or is just deliberately making it tough for the girls. Any decent person would have at least covered the product that they allowed on-site. The girls cannot be expected to know what the weather is going to be like or for how long they will be kept off-site on a challenge.”

“If the foreman on my build deliberately left damageable goods in the rain he would be foreman no longer!” another said. “If his job is just to check on contestants, then he’s not the ‘foreman’!”

“What about the idiot who delivered them?” a third said. “Firstly, wrong house and as it had obviously been raining, off loaded and just left in the rain.”

“I also think their tradies or Dan or both could have helped out and moved them,” someone else agreed. “Or at least covered them. A bit of thinking and cooperation goes a long way.”

“Totally agree, or rather than shaming them on camera, he could have rung, text or got one of the many people to move the planks,” yet another said.

“It’s all in the script,” one person quipped.

Others, however, defended Dan, with one person writing, “It’s not his responsibility to move contestants’ materials that’s why.”

“Not his job to move it,” another agreed.

“Sounds like a contestant’s problem not a foreman problem,” a third said.
