According to journalist Josh Yohe, who covers the team for The Athletic, one or two major trades could happen before the end of the summer.

“Things are quiet for now. However, as everyone knows, things can change. One or two significant trades seem likely before training camp.” – J. Yohe

The Penguins, who are trying to reinvent themselves while still holding on to an aging core led by Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Kris Letang, have yet to make any major moves during the offseason.

But according to Yohe, that silence may be hiding more serious behind-the-scenes discussions-possibly linked to the need to clear cap space or a shift in strategic direction.
