Only after a week of being signed to Roxy Jacenko‘s Ministry of Talent agency, controversial Married At First Sight (MAFS) groom Adrian Araouzou has officially been dropped. The 2025 participant has since responded to the news, stating that there are “no hard feelings at all”.

Speaking to PEDESTRIAN.TV, the former groom — who rose to notoriety on MAFS 2025 for his tumultuous relationship with Awhina Rutene — confirmed he’d been dropped for the Jacenko’s agency, stating that the decision “wasn’t for any other reason than the backlash they got”.

“Obviously I’m aware of the rumours and false allegations / defamatory comments people have made about me. (Would be my best bet on why we had to drop the partnership.) Which is essentially making it hard for me to work with other agencies and other brands,” he said.

“I understand from a business perspective so I’m so fine with the decision as I understand! No hard feelings at all.”
Honestly, not surprised. (Image source: Instagram / @adrian.araouzou)
Alongside Araouzou’s statement, Jacenko also confirmed that her agency was no longer with the controversial groom. However, she did not reveal the reason why he was let go.

“Can confirm that we do not represent Adrian within The Ministry of Talent,” she told PEDESTRIAN.TV.

Rumours of the reality TV star’s split with Jacenko’s agency first began to swirl when the agency’s name was removed from his TikTok bio only a week after he was signed.

On May 5, the Ministry Of Talent agency shared a social media post announcing that Araouzou was being represented by the company.

“Thrilled to announce that @adrian.araouzou is now represented by @theministryoftalent for social media collabs and appearances! Get in touch for opportunities,” the now-deleted post read.

Araouzou’s run on MAFS wasn’t the smoothest. Describing his ‘marriage’ to Rutene as a rollercoaster would be underselling it by a country mile.

From clout chasing allegations — which stemmed from him abandoning the experiment because he wasn’t included in a Channel Nine promo — to a cheating scandal with Sierah Swepstone, Araouzou was in the middle of EVERY DRAMA.

While he’d been on most folks’ hate list, the groom says he plans to “debunk” all the allegations and assumptions made against him in the coming days.

“Over the next week, I will be debunking all those allegations and telling my story. To clear all the BS that has circled around my name,” he continued.

Recently, the MAFS 2025 cast regained access to their Instagram and TikTok accounts and just like Araouzou, many of them have embarked on “tell-alls” and “tea spills” — including his ‘wife’ Rutene.

I guess we’ll have to wait and see for Araouzou’s turn for the full picture. However, he was one of the cheeky castmates who broke the social media rules and jumped online during the season via a burner account.

I wonder what else he has to say…
