This season, The Block is not just a building and real estate competition, but also a… fitness challenge?

After last week’s line dancing, Foreman Dan invited the Blockheads to the second ‘Move with McCafé’ session of the year.

This time, they were taking on STRONG Pilates, a Pilates class with a high-intensity twist. Safe to say, some of them were a little worried.

The contestants shook off their Week 4 stress with a sweat sesh with rowing, weights and reformer moves – although it caused some rather vulnerable moments.

“Sonny’s got plumbers crack!” Mat yelled at one point.

“The body’s moving, probably not in the right ways,” Sonny reflected.

While some of the group loved getting their heart pumping for reasons other than their nerves at Room Reveal, others struggled their way through.

After the class, Dan joked that Sonny and Robby were “absolutely cooked”.

“That’s why we love STRONG, it’s for everyone,” he laughed.

What is STRONG Pilates?

STRONG Pilates is a fitness class that combines Pilates, cardio and strength training into one full-body workout.

Using its signature ‘rowformer’, the part rower, part reformer machine combines both high-intensity cardio and low-impact Pilates moves to build both strength and endurance.

Classes are typically 45 minutes long.

Do Dan and Dani own STRONG Pilates?

When they aren’t enforcing Block rules or roasting the contestants in our Dan vs Dani series, Dan and Dani Reilly own and operate a STRONG Pilates studio in Frankston, Victoria.
