We witnessed an unusual scene earlier today, live from the Bell Centre and just before the Florida Panthers’ practice.

It’s nothing too dramatic, but as illustrated by journalist Anthony Martineau of TVA Sports, some Panthers players broke a very clear Bell Centre rule.

They didn’t wait at all for the Zamboni crew to finish their work, far from it.

Panthers Players Jump Onto Bell Centre Ice While Employees Were Still Working

The rule is clear.

Players must wait until the Zamboni has completely finished its work before stepping onto the ice.

Sure, some players sometimes hop on a bit early.. Some step on as the resurfacer is leaving the ice, which isn’t too bad-but this was a bit ridiculous..

Panthers players jumped onto the ice while Bell Centre employees were literally still working, and the Zamboni still had a few laps left to do.

Anyway, check out the footage:

It’s not the end of the world, but let’s just say it doesn’t set a great example and really makes the Bell Centre staff’s job harder.

The guideline is clear and easy to follow, yet..

Anyway, just a reminder that the Montreal Canadiens are facing off against the Florida Panthers tonight at 7:00 PM, and it’ll be another extremely important game in the playoff race.
