Controversial contestant Han suffered a near-meltdown on Tuesday’s drama-filled episode of The Block.

The fiery scientist sat down with the other teams alongside her partner, Can, to catch episode one of the renovation series – and she was not happy.

Han, 29, later retreated into a shell, hiding inside her hoodie after the screening.

Asked by fellow cast members whether she was feeling ‘alright’, Han just shook her head.

‘I think she’s just embarrassed about everything, and just feels like s**t,’ Can said.

Han appeared to cringe as she saw herself throw a tantrum after learning she and Can had to tackle the renovation on House 2.

‘I just looked like a spoiled brat. That’s how it felt watching it, and that’s why I was like, I feel gross about myself, I feel gross about the situation,’ she said.

In a debrief filmed on the House 2 building site, Can said that the couple will try to make the next two weeks ‘fun’.

‘The first couple of weeks for us, we didn’t know what we were in for,’ she said and continued, ‘We were like birds who had just left the nest and were struggling to fly.’

‘We used to have so much fun together, we used to get along together so well, we never argued until we came on The Block.’

It comes after the pair unveiled their designs for Al Fresco and Shed Week on Monday – and it did not go well.

The team was savaged by the judges, who felt their Japanese Zen garden was a misstep.

Judge Marty Fox warned that the garden would take away from the value of their home as it had eaten into their outdoor living space.

Fellow judge Shaynna Blaze said that she was worried that the home – which had several unfinished elements, including ungrouted tiles – was underwhelming in general.

A drinks cabinet shoved under a TV and the back of a barbecue on display added to the complaints.

‘What I’ve always had a problem with when it comes to the girls is they can’t sell the dream,’ Shaynna said.

Han and Can have had a series of setbacks and dramas on the show, including clashes with Foreman Dan.

Han also recently accused the show of staging drama for the cameras.

Han, one half of the Perth duo with her partner Can, furiously clashed with Foreman Dan, accusing him of ‘stitching her up.’

Unhappy with her comments, Scott faced off with Han.

‘Han, I heard some other people saying that you’re accusing us of stitch ups and doing stuff just for the camera, which I’ve told you many, many times, we never set you up to fail and we never stitch you up,’ he said.

‘We help you along the way. You’re making decisions that are affecting you. You made those decisions, not us,’ he continued.

Scott then demanded: ‘I’m going to ask you really nicely to readjust your attitude on the show to the crew and to Dan and to me and everyone around you.’
