Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) 2025 contestant Claire is reportedly “furious” over last night’s explosive episode, where Farmer Thomas spills a bunch of deets about their private messages to the other contestants, resulting in a massive blowout between him and front-runner Clarette.

While FWAW is praised for its wholesome image, this year’s rodeo of love has been quite the doozy.

On Tuesday night, viewers of the beloved matchmaking show were treated to an episode à la MAFS, with things blowing up on Corey and Thomas‘ farms.

To give you a quick rundown on the hullabaloo, shit hit the fan on Thomas’ farm after the South Australian farmer revealed that he has recieved messages from Claire, who left the season earlier in the season.

And for those who are only tuning in now, Claire volunteered to leave the season — despite being chosen for the 24-hour date earlier on — because she was unsure if she wanted to pursue a connection with Thomas. Following the decision, the pair had been texting each other beyond the show.

A couple of episodes ago, Thomas came clean about his text messages to Clarette — another front-runner — and eventually, they hashed it out.

Unfortunately, the secret digital rendezvous was brought up again after it was revealed that Claire had sent him a message.

According to the show, as soon as Thomas received a text from the former suitor, he immediately told Clarette and Rachael — another lady vying for Farmer Thomas’ heart. In a confessional, Clarette claimed the messages contained smoochy stuff like, “I miss you” and all that kinda jazz.

During a tense conversation that kinda felt like a game of Good Cop, Bad Cop (Clarette being the bad one), Thomas claimed that the last time he texted Claire back was during the Harvest Festival, when he sent a picture to her. He then added that Claire is “dead” to him.

After Clarette continued to question him about his feelings about Claire, Thomas went on to reveal the private conversation to the girls.

Farmer Wants A Wife‘s Claire responds to Farmer Thomas’ explosive episode

Following Tuesday night’s explosive shebang, a source close to Claire claimed that she was “furious” with how Thomas dealt with the situation and how he spoke about her.

“Claire thinks it’s pretty disrespectful for him to use the words ‘she is dead to me’ when she had done nothing wrong and he had been caught out. She was shocked by what he said,” the source told Yahoo! Lifestyle.

“She had no idea that he had blocked her number until seeing it on TV last night. She was checking in on him as a friend, so his not replying spoke volumes.”

The source added that the sneaky texts weren’t flirty at all, despite what Clarette said in the confessionals.

“Claire was careful in how she worded the text as she didn’t want Thomas or the other ladies getting the wrong idea,” they added.

“There was no bad blood, so Claire didn’t think messaging him was a bad thing. She had full intentions of continuing a friendship with Thomas after the show.”

Speaking to Chattr, the former FWAW 2025 contestant echoed the insider, explaining that their texts and relationship outside of the show were “platonic”.

“I actually just messaged him to check in on him and see how filming was going. I knew he was worried about filming during harvest so I wished him all the best,” she shared before confirming that Thomas didn’t reply.

Honestly, I feel bad for both Claire and Clarette. Claire’s not even on the show anymore and it appears that her mysterious texts are just being dragged out to piss Clarette off. That being said, Clarette is on a show where she has to compete for someone’s heart.

UGH, it’s just a hot mess, but kinda diva behaviour that Claire is still being talked about, and she’s not even on.
