Since making his TV debut on Backyard Blitz in 2000, Scott Cam has gone on to become a household name in Australia. The 62-year-old tradie appeared on Renovation Rescue, Our Place, and Domestic Blitz before he began hosting The Block in 2010, and has been the face of the popular series for the past 19 seasons.

With The Block being one of the most lucrative shows on Australian TV, giving away over $39 million in prize money, it’s no surprise that Scott Cam is one of the highest-paid TV stars in Australia. According to The Australian, the Channel 9 star is currently on a $2.4 million annual salary with the network.

With each season of The Block containing around 50 episodes, this means Scott earns around $48,000 per episode.

This figure puts Scott in second place on the TV Rich List behind Today host Karl Stefanovic, who reportedly earns $2.8 million a year.

Lego Masters Australia host Hamish Blake is believed to be earning $2 million, while Sonia Kruger is said to be on a $1.2 million contract with Channel 7 for her work on The Voice and Dancing With The Stars.

What is Scott Cam’s net worth?

It was reported in 2022 that Scott’s net worth was estimated to be around $11 million, in part thanks to his endorsement deals with brands like Bisley Workwear, Mitre 10, and McDonald Jones Homes.

The TV star also has an impressive property portfolio, including a stunning $11 million luxury home in the Sydney suburb of Vaucluse.

Outside of his television work, Scott has also written two books on building and renovating: Out The Back and Home Maintenance For Knuckleheads. He also won the Gold Logie and Silver Logie for Most Popular Presenter in 2014.
