The former Sunrise host took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday to share a picturesque photo of docked boats at Sydney’s harbourside with the caption: “When the rain stops, and the sun comes out”.

The 48-year-old accompanied her words with the emoji of two palms, which typically symbolises receiving something and expressing gratitude.

“Don’t be afraid to start over again; you may like your new story better,” she added.

Armytage likely shared the cryptic message from the set of the Nine Network’s new dating show The Golden Bachelor, which is the host of.

The Golden Bachelor is a new twist on the popular Bachelor dating franchise and will see a group of older Australians competing for the hearts of Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden, a widower in his 50s from Manly.

It comes after Armytage was spotted arm in arm with new “wingman”, fashion designer Jonathan Ward at Royal Randwick merely weeks ago.

Ward took to Instagram to post a photo of the pair at the races together and revealed Armytage invited him to accompany her on the day.

“Very special to be the guest and wingman for my gorgeous friend Sam at the Autumn Carnival Derby Day Royal Randwick @sam_armytage #royalrandwickracecourse,” the couture designer of more than three decades wrote in the caption.

In the happy snap, Armytage donned a silk cream angle-length skirt, which she matched with a white shirt, polka dot tie, and black fascinator.

Sam completed her chic ensemble with gold hoops, black pumps and a matching clutch.

It’s understood Armytage and Ward have been friends for some years and were spotted having lunch with Lavender at China Doll restaurant in the Sydney suburb of Woolloomooloo in 2021.

Pictures obtained by Daily Mail at the time show the trio joked between mouthfuls of San Choy Bow.

Armytage, at one point, looked elated as she was seen laughing at something Jonathan told her.

The breakfast TV star shared another hopeful post about love earlier this year, which could have been interpreted as the first sign the TV presenter was on the path to finding romance again.

“When there’s a lovely little sign from the universe,” Armytage wrote a photo of the heart-shaped milk art at the bottom of her empty coffee mug on her Instagram Stories in January.

In a statement to the Daily Telegraph in December, Armytage announced her split from Lavender after four years of marriage.

“Yes, Richard and I have separated. All breakups are hard, but it’s somewhat lessened by the fact it’s amicable, and we wish the best for each other,” she said.

The move shocked some industry insiders after the TV host herself told Woman’s Day she quit hosting the Seven Network’s breakfast show program to live at his 40-hectare estate in NSW’s Southern Highlands in 2021.
