We have a verdict from the Montreal Canadiens. We were eager to see what Kent Hughes would do with Logan Mailloux, Owen Beck, and Jakub Dobes during the break for the Four Nations Faceoff.

Would they be sent to the Laval Rocket?

Would they stay with the Canadiens and therefore be rested during the break?

We have a verdict.

Logan Mailloux and Owen Beck are sent to the Laval Rocket, Jakub Dobes remains with the Montreal Canadiens

For now, at least, that is the decision.

«The Canadiens have assigned forward Owen Beck and defenseman Logan Mailloux to the Laval Rocket.»

– Montreal Canadiens

I imagine that if Jakub Dobes were to return to the Laval Rocket, it would have already happened.

A break could be beneficial for him.

He had an absolutely sensational start with the Canadiens, but he seems to have slowed down a bit in recent games.

Personally, I don’t blame him for today’s game.

It is extremely difficult for a goaltender to face only two shots in an entire period, especially when both shots are breakaways or odd-man rushes.

Mailloux, 21 years old, has four points in six games this season with the Montreal Canadiens (in the NHL) and notably scored a big goal against the Los Angeles Kings.

Beck has also been really impressive since his call-up, and I fully expect to see him back in a Canadiens uniform after the break for the Four Nations Faceoff.
