Ivan Demidov will finally be able to join the Montreal Canadiens lineup as early as this season.

Obviously, it’s the kind of addition that completely transforms your top-six forwards, and on that note, TVA Sports has just published the new projected line combinations following Demidov’s arrival.

Based on the most recent comments from head coach Martin St-Louis, it’s clear he doesn’t necessarily want to break up his first line (at least for now), so we can expect the combination of Cole Caufield / Nick Suzuki / Juraj Slafkovsky to remain intact.

Same goes for the Josh Anderson / Christian Dvorak / Brendan Gallagher line, which is currently performing extremely well.

Lastly, I absolutely don’t expect to see Ivan Demidov on a fourth line, so that leaves the second line, the one with Alex Newhook and Patrik Laine.

Here are the combinations put forward by TVA Sports.

What a beautiful sight!

What will the Canadiens lineup look like with Demidov? [TVA Sports]

This really transforms Martin St-Louis’s offense, and we’re truly excited to see the results.

We’re talking about the offense, but imagine Demidov finishing off plays from Lane Hutson.. It’ll be absolutely incredible to watch!

As for the power play units, it will be intriguing to see St-Louis’s plan.

Will Demidov be placed on the top power play unit right away?
